Not every dental problem that occurs outside of normal office hours is always an emergency. Sure, toothaches, pains, and other issues arise. Yet, these may be able to temporarily be treated at home until you can see your dentist the following day.
To determine if you have a dental emergency ask yourself the following:
Can I live with the pain and discomfort, or is it too severe?
Did you lose a tooth or teeth from another type of accident?
Are your gums sore, swollen, bleeding, or showing signs of infection?
Do you have difficulties eating, drinking, and swallowing?
Are your gums or teeth bleeding and will not stop?
